BRIEF OUTLINE OF COURSE
The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to produce and maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a range of organisations, using manual and computerised systems.
This Course will take place in CEEDS Clondalkin in association with NCU Training. This Course is proudly sponsored by SDCP.
- Explain the key terminology associated with the recording and maintenance of bookkeeping records, using manual and computerised systems
- Complete the books of first entry with appropriate VAT and departmental analysis from the information contained in a range of source documents to include; invoices, credit notes, bank records, petty cash vouchers
- Prepare a Bank Reconciliation Statement
The Assessment method will include a Project 50% and an Examination 50%
Start date: 4th November 2019. The course will run for one class per week for 5 weeks. Each Class is a full-day of training, 9.15AM – 4.00PM.

This is a Level 5 course so applicants should have good numeracy and computer skills, Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant life and work experiences e.g. if you are currently working in an accounts position or have the opportunity to acquire same.
